SS install concern Brake Line Rubbing 2014 Toyota Tundra -Install by dealer

    Should the brake line rest on top of the spring when the truck is sitting still? – I’m concern this may cause the brake line to wear and leak causing brake failure. Should I return to dealer for correction.

    How much clearance should there be between the brake line and the SS?

    How can be sure it is safe if touching/rubbing on the SS?
    I purchase and had the SS install done at – Outlaw Offroad of Texas in Victoria Texas

    Hey Chip, no, the brake line should not touch the SuperSprings. Here is what the instructions say:

    Adjust position of brake cable bracket so that cable avoids all contact with SuperSprings blade or shackle. (Fig.1)

    It sounds like the bracket was not adjusted correctly. I would recommend taking some pictures and sending them in to our tech team, [email protected], and ask Outlaw to give our engineering department a call to answer any questions, 800-898-0705.
