SSF 170-40-2 on 2016 F53. Am I correct that this is a two piece assembly? Sometimes . when leveling one or both front wheels may off ground allowing the axle to drop. Is this a problem? Will the pieces align properly when lowering? Would limiting straps be needed? If so any ideas?

Hey there. You are correct. The SSF-170-40-2 is a two-piece unit we call SumoSprings Rebel. The two pieces are designed to allow unlimited vertical axle movement. Being able to level with one or both wheels off the ground is actually one of the reasons we designed this front kit with two pieces. The male and female ends will always be properly aligned when lowering, as they will while on the road and experiencing movement, because of the simple way they are bolted to the brackets and installed. See the installation instruction for a drawing showing the details. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
