Front SumoSprings > Overview > RVs

Class A – Workhorse W20 / W22 / W24

Product Description

SumoSprings complement the original factory suspension generating a smoother ride in your coach. Our variable rate springs improve load carrying capacity and due to their proprietary material, function much like a shock absorber by insulating the “banging and jarring” effect resulting from impact with pot-holes, road expansion joints, uneven road surfaces, bridge on-ramps etc.  Additionally, their early engagement will reduce the amount of side-to-side body roll in your coach resulting in greater stability.

Product Description

All SumoSprings utilize patented closed cell microcellular urethane formulated with exclusive additives. The resulting combination of proprietary raw material and engineered design produces a graduated spring rate curve, resulting in progressive compression under load and variable road conditions.

The SumoSprings are secured as part of the suspension system to the frame rail above the factory leaf springs, replacing the original factory bump stops and filling most or the entire void in this area.  This creates more engagement between the SumoSprings and contact plate. This action, in conjunction with the SumoSprings material, results in the smoother ride. For certain Workhorse models the installation of additional steel or urethane spacers (supplied in the SumoSprings box) might be required.  See the “Installation” tab on this website for more specific details.

Additionally, the material is extremely durable with excellent abrasion and cut resistance and performs in temperatures ranging from -25°F (-32°C) to 200°F (93°C).

NOTE: For temperatures consistently below 14°F (-10°C), use our "Cold Weather" SumoSprings.
