Rear SumoSprings "Your airless airbags"

SuperSprings International™, manufacturer and distributor of the suspension enhancing SuperCoils, SuperSway Stops, SuperKeys and SuperSprings products have added SumoSprings, front and rear suspension stabilizers to their product line.

Rear SumoSprings - the "airless airbag" - were designed and developed in direct response to enormous customer demand for a leak proof, rupture proof, maintenance free spring.

All SumoSprings utilize patented micro-cellular polyurethane foam formulated with propriotary additives. The combination of exclusive raw materials and engineering design produces a graduated spring rate curve which results in progressive compression under load and variable road conditions; producing a smooth ride whether loaded or empty. Capable of supporting loads of up to 10,000 pounds*, these variable rate springs provide better handling and stabilization for slide-in campers, trailer towing and commercial applications. SumoSprings kits are supplied with no-drill steel brackets and mounting hardware for quick, easy installation of typically less than one hour.

SumoSprings have been designed, in some cases, to replace damaged or ruptured airbags utilizing their original mounting brackets. (Check with the SuperSprings factory for a cross reference sheet)

The schematic to the left shows the assembly of the rear SumoSprings on the Ford SuperDuty. The SumoSprings ship with all brackets assembled allowing a quick, easy installation.

The rear SumoSpring shown to the right, installed on a Ford SuperDuty, was created blue for better visability in promotional images. All front and rear SumoSprings are black in color. In this image of the Ford installation, the SumoSpring mount "out-board" on top of the factory springs. The same microcellular foam jounce is used in the rear GMC and Dodge applications; however, both of these mount "in-board", above the factory axle.
